My dream came true on a sunny winter day.

Want to meet me at the fulfillment house to get YOUR BOOKS!!!!
In less than three hours my dream would be reality! God went before me and my plans changed without me having to cancel anything to fit it in an unexpected adventure, so I sat down and wrote while I waited. I wanted to remember my dream day. When the time arrived, I slipped out of the house without giving my kids many details.
On the way, I called my Mom. I wish I could bottle up the pride I heard in her voice. Our excitement bubbled over! She’s the only one I called, even though I felt like shouting from the rooftops, I wanted it to be a surprise.
At the fulfillment house (I just love that – fulfillment – so true! It sure fulfilled my dream!) Carla and I hugged and found the boxes. It felt so good to see them with each other for the first time.
My Dream Day found me without make up and wondering if I even showered that day. A nice dinner simmered on the stove – nothing spectacular. No big celebrations, just a normal day like any other. Except I soared higher than any normal day. I didn’t give up on my dream. I thought back to the day I first called myself a writer which started a path that lead to this moment.
Back at home, I kept my book a secret. I wrapped it in pretty paper and did normal activities. (You can find those pictures on Instagram.) I cooked and cleaned and smiled inwardly the whole time. Some how I floated through the rest of the day. When my kids saw the package a few guessed at the contents. Before people scattered for the evening, I gave them the best present I could – my dream. My gift to them. Because they dreamed with me, it’s their dream too. I want them to experience the joy of a dream fulfilled. They saw me persevere and through their support, they persevered too!
